BELIZE CITY — In an effort to tackle long-standing structural inefficiencies plaguing the local property market, Belizean proptech startup Belize Property Matrix and founder Dinsdale Zelaya has developed the Belize Property Matrix, a centralized Multiple Listing Service (MLS) built to strengthen market clarity and professional collaboration.
The platform comes on the heels of the U.S. State Department’s

Developed in collaboration with the Real Estate Institute of Belize (REIB), founded by J. Nicole Jackson, professional access to the platform will be strictly limited to verified brokerages with Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) clearance and authorized agents operating under them. Meanwhile, everyday consumers can use the system to search properties, connect with vetted agents, and review trusted service providers.
Beta Testing and Regulatory Framework
REIB students and BelPro agents are currently putting the software through rigorous beta testing to root out technical hurdles and polish toolkit utilities before a wider commercial rollout. The ultimate vision is to offer the infrastructure to market leaders via exclusive licensing agreements, subject to formal review and regulatory approval.

Concurrently, the development team is assembling a dedicated legal committee of attorneys to draft standardized, uniform real estate contracts for agent utilization, though any formal implementation remains contingent on statutory greenlights. Developers stress that current contract modules inside the beta environment are strictly for testing simulations and must not be leveraged for binding live transactions.
By bridging information silos, the Belize Property Matrix aims to curb duplicate listings, streamline brokerage cooperation, and grant market participants the reliable, synchronized data foundation long sought after by local industry veterans and international investors alike.
